Fitness Class Grading System
The number (ranging from 1-3) focuses on the intensity of the class. However, multi-level teaching is applied to all classes which enables all participants to work at their own level.
Class Intensity
Level 1 – a low impact class suitable for beginners and those returning to exercise. Includes functional body conditioning exercises at a low to moderate intensity. Suitable for participants 14+ years.
Level 2 – a low to high impact class aimed at an intermediate level. May include some flexibility and toning exercises for an all round workout. Suitable for participants 14+ years (excluding Body Balance – 16+ years).
Level 3 – a challenging high intensity workout combining high and low impact exercises or intense resistance exercises. Suitable for more experienced participants (16+ years).
Class Complexity
Grade A - an easy to follow class offering low levels of complexity. Ideal for beginners.
Grade B - a class offering moderate to high levels of complexity to challenge the mind as well as the body.
Grade C - a class requiring higher levels of co-ordination.
