Plas Pencelli
Set in the spectacular scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park in the heart of Wales, Plas Pencelli is a large outdoor centre owned by Swindon Borough Council. It offers a large range of traditional outdoor activities from a friendly and homely base and specialises in providing tailor-made outdoor education/activity courses for most age groups.
The facility caters for large groups, having almost a 100 beds and welcomes non-residents to attend the courses and use the facilities. Established for over 40 years, the Centre offers top quality outdoor programmes that are highly respected within education and the outdoor activity sectors. Their aim is to provide opportunities for people to participate in outdoor activities, whether focusing on personal development or the environmental sciences.
What ever your course, they aim to provide a more adventurous experience to a high standard. They use many challenging local venues including vertical caves, the Gower coastline and quality local white water rivers such as the Usk and Wye.
Historically each year, the Leisure Services Team have run an Outdoor Activity Course for the more ‘mature’ adult, however in 2009 we are opening the course up to adults of all ages.
