StreetGames & Parachallenge Festival
The festival, sponsored by Nationwide and organised by Swindon Borough Council’s Leisure Services team, is designed to give young people from disadvantaged communities the opportunity to experience the thrill of taking part in a major sporting event and also try sports they may not have tried before.
The event offered competitive tournaments including:
| StreetGames Youth Tournaments |
Parachallenge Tournaments |
| 5-a-side Football | Boccia |
| 3 v 3 Basketball | Ability Counts Football |
| Girls Football | Powerchair Football |
| Volleyball | 3 v 3 Wheelchair Basketball |
But those who didn't want to test their competitive spirit tried special taster sessions designed to encourage young people to explore different sport options including archery, climbing, tennis, ultimate frisbee, power kiting, sledge hockey and wheelchair rugby.

The event is reflective of Swindon Borough Council’s ongoing work to take sport to young people by providing events and regular sessions in neighbourhoods throughout the community.
