The Walk4Life Miles project will deliver 2,012 way marked one mile walking routes in local communities, as well as provide a unique online database of short walks. At the heart of the project is a brand new public facing web portal where people can find walking routes or create their own, record their walking activity, find local events, join groups and challenge themselves and others to walk more.
The website went live to the general public last September with the URL www.walk4life.info which will also be the main web address which ITV will be giving out to viewers wanting to find walking opportunities in their local communities.
All the information you need to join in is available by following the link to the website: www.walkengland.org.uk
Here you will find:
- information about the project
- guidance on how to identify routes
- how to waymark them
- how to add routes to our web portal and/or share digital route data with us.
