Who Does What in an Emergency

A Multi-agency Response

The response to an emergency usually involves a number of different organisations all of whom work closely together to co-ordinate an effective response. For example:

  • Police
  • Fire and Rescue Service
  • Ambulance Service
  • Swindon Borough Council
  • Environment Agency
  • Voluntary Agencies such as WRVS, British Red Cross Society, St John Ambulance, Salvation Army and many more.
