Swindon Half Marathon
Half Marathon, Multi-Terrain and Fun Run
The Nationwide Swindon Half Marathon and Fun Runs attract seasoned runners and novices from all over the country, county and borough of Swindon and this year LUCOZADE SPORT are supporting the race. As well as 6 water stations there will be two Lucozade drinks stations on the course and one at the start/finish.
The Half Marathon
The Half Marathon is a challenging, hilly course on roads over 13.1 miles through scenic countryside over the Wiltshire Downs, taking in quiet country lanes. Participants must be at least 17 years old on the day of the run
Multi-Terrain Fun Run
The Multi-Terrain fun run course is nearly 5 miles long and takes in Coate Water Country Park and is suitable for all levels of ability and provides a shorter distance for people who are keen to take part, with the emphasis on personal achievement and fun. Participants must be at least 15 years old on the day of the run.
Fun Run
At approximately 2 miles, the Fun Run is open to the whole family. The course is exclusively on roads and footpaths. Whether running, jogging or walking this is a family focussed event, with the emphasis on fun. Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Wiltshire County Half Marathon Championship
The race incorporates the Wiltshire County Half Marathon Championships. Entry to the Championships is free but is only open to those who qualify by being born in Wiltshire or through residency in the county for at least nine months.
