From 31 January 2007, you will be able to access new, web-based South West Child Protection Procedures from the Swindon LSCB Web Site.

New South West Child Protection Procedures - Core Procedures
In response to Working Together 2006, Swindon is one of a number of areas that have come together to develop and implement the South West Child Protection Procedures.
The Core Procedures, which provide advice on what should happen if somebody has concerns about the welfare of a child, are based on flow charts 1 to 5 from Working Together 2006, (Chapter 5). They cover managing individual cases, from initial concern through to de-registration/ resolution of multi-agency child protection plan.
Live on the web from 31 January 2007, the new procedures will be fully interactive. For each topic, they will include Key Points, How to Do It and Lessons From Research.
Additional Procedures, Protocols and Local Guidance
Additional procedures, protocols and local guidance to support the Core Procedures are being developed by the South West Consortium and the LSCB Procedures Sub-group over the coming months. In the meantime, please refer to the existing guidance as provided through the LSCB Web Site.
