Disability Equality Scheme

Disability Equality Scheme 2007- 2009

From December 2006 every public authority has to publish a Disability Equality Scheme outlining how it will work to promote Disability Equality in all its services and as an employer.

Swindon Borough Council has worked with the Swindon Coalition of Disabled People (SCODP) to develop its scheme which was approved by Cabinet on 15th November 2006.

The scheme includes:

  4. Action Plan
  5. Disability Equality Action Plan 2007-2009
  6. Impact Assessments
  7. Employment monitoring and delivering education
